Northern Anhui Cultural Tourism Fair to open in late September

The 2013 Northern Anhui Cultural Tourism Fair held a press conference at the Grand Park Hotel on August 20. About 70 people, including representatives from tourism bureaus and enterprises as well as journalists from major media in Anhui province attended the conference.

According to Jing Ming, director of the Anhui Provincial Tourism Bureau's market development department, Suzhou city can been seen as a model of the northern Anhui tourism region because of its unique tourism resources, outstanding tourism development pattern and innovative thinking. As a large-scale marketing campaign, the fair is expected to be a significant boost to the tourism industry in the province. Jing Ming also expressed his wish to combine traditional media marketing and new media marketing to bring some new color to the tourism of northern Anhui.

Wang Wei, director of the Suzhou city tourism bureau, said at the conference that tourism in Suzhou city has been developing at a rapid and healthy pace in recent years. He hopes that the Northern Anhui Cultural Tourism Fair can enhance tourism in northern Anhui.

Aiming at building up a tourism promotion platform and boosting the development of tourism in northern Anhui, the 2013 Northern Anhui Cultural Tourism Fair will have its official opening in Suzhou city on September 28.

The fair will continue until the end of the National Day holiday. Part of the exhibition will even last until the end of November. During the fair, some special tourism routes will be available to attract more guests to northern Anhui.
