In the new era, industrial parks need to thoroughly review their development environment and take into full account of their own growth potential as well as the industrial development both at home and abroad. After giving a brief introduction to the status-quo of the city’s industrial development from six aspects, this paper makes a quantitative evaluation on the respective competitiveness of traditional advantageous industries and strategic emerging industries, and narrows down to the following main conclusions. First, the current top six advantageous industries in the city enjoy a sound development performance and emerging industries are gaining momentum for fast growth. Second, different industries have their respective influence based on corresponding industrial parks, which are differed in development degree to some extent.
