Former NBA player Allen Iverson showed up at the Jinjiang Theater in the city of Jinjiang, Fujian province, the evening of May 26, attracting a crowd of enthusiastic local Chinese and responding warmly to his fans with his trademark smile.

Iverson was up on stage, clad in a black T-shirt and a white hat, ahead of Children's Day, on June 1, to encourage teenage basketball lovers in Jinjiang to keep fighting and never give up, and to play every game as if it's their last game.

One member of the audience sporting the same hairstyle as Iverson's said that he'd liked the basketball star for 10 years and that he had come by plane from Guangxi province just to see his 'idol'.

The next day, Iverson took part in an NBA World Tour in the town of Shishi, near the city of Quanzhou, Fujian province and appeared on court for 6 minutes of the second quarter.
