The industry and economy in Guizhou province developed at a high speed in 2012, surpassing expectations and accomplishing an industry added value of 225 billion yuan ($36.16 billion), a year-on-year increase of 22 percent, Guizhou Daily reported.
Industrial investment now amounts to 305 billion yuan ($49 billion), a year-on-year increase of 35 percent, 15 points higher than the national average increase.
Industry structure has also been optimized. The national defense science and technology industry has grown at a rate of over 18 percent.
Steady logistics support has provided the province with growing energy resources.
The private economy has been promoted, achieving an added value of 260 billion yuan and private investment of 320 billion yuan.
The rate of informatization has also sped up. Investment in information infrastructure construction reached 6.07 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.4 percent.
