Wenchang Court

Wenchang Court was built in the 24th year of the Wanli emperor, during in the Ming (AD 1596) and sits to the east of Guiyang. Facing west, 20-meter high, with a steel–gray color and finely carved windows and paintings on the architrave, with Ming features. It has unusual structures, with a triple layer, triple eaves, nine angles, and pavilion roofs. Its ground floor is a square, while the second and third floor is nonagons.

The Wenchang Court is said to be China's only court in this unique style. It has nine wooden arris on the second and the third floor, nine angles to the roof, and 54 pillars and 81 beams, or multiples of nine.
