China Southern Airlines will open a route from Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province, to Lijiang in Yunnan province, with a stop in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan, on Oct 27, xinhuanet.com reported.
A Boeing 737-700 aircraft will make the round trip every day, according to the Henan branch of the company.
In the past, visitors from Zhengzhou and surrounding areas who were heading to Lijiang, had to change flights in Kunming, or take a train or bus from the provincial capital.
The new route will benefit tourists and it is also expected to further promote the development of the tourism industry of the two provinces.
