Campus football tournament starts in Inner Mongolia

An 8-day university football tournament got off to a good start at Inner Mongolia Normal University, on May 25, as the biggest gathering of its kind in Inner Mongolia, this time with almost three dozen teams from 19 colleges and universities across the region to partake.

In recent years, the school has done a remarkable job supporting campus football, and has cooperated with other places on the sport, while setting up a campus football editorial office, a campus football federation, and a China-Mongolia-Russia campus football invitational tournament.

And, they say they are working on an international, open multi-purpose football training base and a football academy while exploring ways to develop on-campus professional football talent training.

The organizers of the tournament are the regional youth campus football group, Inner Mongolia Normal University, the campus football federation, and the college student athletic association.
