A list of the top 500 Chinese private enterprises in 2013 was released in Beijing on August 29, 2013.

Eight enterprises in Zhangjiagang of Jiangsu province made the list, including Shagang Group, Yonggang Group, Huagang Group, Aoyang Group, Fengli Group, Panhua Group, Junma Group and Dongdu Textile Group.

Shagang Group ranked fourth on the list with revenue of 218 billion yuan ($35.61 billion).

The enterprises are listed according to revenue in 2011. This year an enterprise has to make revenue of at least 6.57 billion yuan to be listed, increasing 1.51 billion yuan from last year.
