Senior government officials join International Children's Day celebrations

Jilin provincial government officials met with a group of students from a primary school affiliated with Northeast Normal University, in the city of Changchun, on the eve of International Children's Day.

They took part in various activities, including an art exhibition and performances, and called for a greater effort to create a friendly environment for children's growth. Taking part was the provincial Party secretary, Bayinchaolu, who remarked that his greatest wish was to see the children grow up in good health.
The provincial governor, Jiang Chaoliang, paid a visit to a kindergarten in the city of Dunhua, Yanbian Korean prefecture, where he urged staff members to provide a better environment for the children's study and growth. Jiang also called for government officials to keep their eye on preschool education and to improve school facilities and staff salaries.
