An exhibition featuring cultural relics from the Hall of Mental Cultivation in the Forbidden City, Beijing, opened on July 3 at the Shandong Museum in Jinan, capital of Shandong province.

Themed on "Just and Benevolent, Hall of Mental Cultivation in the Forbidden City", the exhibition, jointly organized by the Shandong Museum and the Palace Museum, displays more than 240 sets of historic relics, including jade ware, enamel, porcelain, painting and calligraphy, inscriptions, and furniture, amongst others from the Hall of Mental Cultivation.

The Hall of Mental Cultivation, or Yangxin Dian, was the residence of the last eight emperors of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

The exhibition will last for three months.
