The 2019 Yantai Folk Arts and Crafts Expo is scheduled to be held at Yantai International Expo Center on Aug 23-26.

Themed?around "inheritance, communication, cooperation, development and innovation", the annual event aims to?make folk arts originated from the people to?benefit the people.

This year's expo will have 900 stands, erected to international standards, displaying modern folk arts and crafts of all categories from home and abroad.

It will showcase colorful folk arts and crafts covering Chinese traditional embroidery, pottery making, clay figurines, printing and engraving, furniture and stationery and traditional Chinese medicine processing.

A total of 20 traditional handcrafts from Suzhou, Jiangsu province will be also on show including Suzhou embroidery, jade sculpture, woodcut New Year paintings and ivory carving. The expo will open for?free to the public.
