The Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden in the Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort rolled out a special event allowing parents and children to play together this upcoming Christmas season.

The event is suitable for families with children over four and includes a game which requires participants to find certain endangered plant species at the botanical garden and take pictures with them. This is followed by a plants-related Q&A and PK challenges.

During the game, children will put on their Christmas hats and venture into a Christmas-themed garden to identify a series of plants. They will be treated with candies from NPCs in the game.

Participants will also learn about Christmas-related plants and the culture behind them, such as the Christmas wreath, Christmas tree, Poinsettia, Mistletoe and Christmas rose.

Parents can choose to hide Christmas gifts under the Christmas tree in the garden, which will be picked up by the children after the game is over.

Price: 198 yuan ($30.29) per person for adults with children above 130 cm; 168 yuan per person for adults with children below 130 cm

Time: 9:30-11:30 or 13:30-15:30 on Dec 19 and Dec 20
