A paper-cutting exhibition called "Dancing on paper" was held at Beijing Dance Academy on May 22, with the aim of showcasing this folk culture of Shanxi province.

The exhibition, which was co-organized by the Beijing Dance Academy and the Beijing Museum Association, focused on the local culture of the Loess Plateau in Shanxi, and introduced the public the daily life, beliefs and customs of local people.

Guo Meihua, an expert in Shanxi's folk-culture paper-cutting art, displayed 38 works, including the elaborate creations called Plum Blossom,Chrysanthemum, andCelebration.
