2009: Modelling Career

Kim Hyun-Joong debuted as a runway model in 2009 at the age of 20 and since then has appeared in prêt à porter and Seoul Fashion Week collections. As his career progressed, he began doing commercials that required basic acting skills. Kim began studying acting under coach Moon Won-joo to become a better model, but Kim fell in love with acting. "In the course of doing so, I found myself feeling the same thrill and enthusiasm that I felt the first time I came to walk on the runway," he says. In 2012, he had a supporting role in the romantic comedy A Gentleman's Dignity. He also appeared in the drama To the Beautiful You.
