LONDON - The Royal International Air Tattoo 2015, the claimed biggest military air show in the world, this weekend paid tribute to the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

The name of the battle is given to the air campaign waged by the German Air Force against Britain during the Second World War (WWII), which resulted in victory in the skies for allied forces despite being outnumbered. It is also regarded as a major turning point in the WWII.

During the two days of this weekend, fourteen vintage aircraft from across Britain and Europe gathered at Royal Airforce (RAF) Fairford Airport for a special flypast, watched by three veteran pilots who took part in the Battle of Britain.
