SCO youth experience China's journey to common prosperity

"The world can learn from China's green development and take it as a role model," said Yasmin Mufeed, director of public relations and marketing at Bahrain Inherited Traditional Sports Committee. She made the remarks in early June during a visit to East China's Zhejiang province, as part of the "Road to Common Prosperity" China tour for Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) youth, hosted by the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs.
The year 2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the "Two Mountains Theory", a significant ecological concept that stresses lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets and highlights the crucial role of green development in China.
Anusree Keloth, vice-president of Students' Federation of India, echoed this view during a visit to Anji county. She said, "China developed an extreme poverty alleviation program, which is very innovative and attractive."
