Beijing expo to showcase state-of-the-art assistive devices for disabled and elderly

The Care & Rehabilitation Expo China 2025 will kick off in Beijing on Sept 12. The expo, which ends on Sept 14, focuses on showcasing high-tech assistive devices and nursing services for the disabled and the elderly.
The expo is organized by the China Disabled Persons' Federation and has been held 17 times since 2007.
This year's expo will showcase some of the state-of-the-art assistive devices in an area of 22,000 square meters in Beijing, with these devices functioning on mobility, hearing and language rehabilitation, elderly nursing services, barrier-free services, prosthesis and children rehabilitation, according to a release by the federation on Friday.
The federation said that this year's expo has attracted over 400 domestic and international companies to join, and will exhibit over 10,000 assistive products covering disabled people and the elderly's basic living demands of clothing, food, transportation, medical needs, and entertainment.
In addition to regular products being put into production, about 80 companies will make the first release of their latest innovations of smart glasses for the blind, smart guide dog, robotic exoskeleton, and smart wheelchairs and prostheses during the expo, according to the federation.
The federation said that about 80 international companies and organizations from 17 countries and regions will attend this year's expo, including those from Canada, South Korea, Japan, Germany, and Russia.
