Tour of Shanghai cycling race concludes with thrilling competition

The Tour of Shanghai: New Cities 2025 cycling race officially wrapped up on Sept 7 in Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area, marking the end of a three-stage competition.
Serbian cyclist Dusan Rajovic, representing UCI ProTeam Team Solution Tech — Vini Fantini, emerged victorious with a total time of 5:39:01. His outstanding performance earned him the Ruby Red Jersey as the leader of the General Individual Classification.
"It's a really good organization," said Rajovic, praising the event's management and the challenging course.
The three-day race traversed Shanghai's "five new cities"—suburban towns in the districts of Jiading, Songjiang, Qingpu, Fengxian, and Lin-gang in Pudong New Area. Covering a total distance of 284.6 kilometers, the race tested the endurance and skill of over 110 riders from 20 top professional cycling teams representing 10 countries.
Despite facing scorching heat and high humidity, the competitors showcased exceptional resilience and skill, underscoring the high quality of this newly upgraded International Cycling Union (UCI) 2.2-level event.
