Xinjiang documentary wins praise


Coinciding with the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, the documentary named Xinjiang: Where Horizons Expand aired simultaneously on CCTV-9 and Xinjiang Satellite TV over the weekend, receiving positive feedback.
The documentary, produced by Xinjiang Radio and Television Station and local government, is built upon the concept of a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation and showcases the accomplishments of Xinjiang in the recent years.

Structured as a five-part series, the documentary weaves together personal stories to depict Xinjiang's geographical, social, and ecological development, striving to be a masterpiece through its high-standard execution.

"This show helps tell the world the inspiring stories of Xinjiang's innovation, progress, unity, harmony, openness, and confidence," said Li Yanbing, a scholar from the Beijing Union University.
