This year is the 94th anniversary of the Sept 18 Incident, which marked the start of Japan's invasion of China. In 1939, during the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45), Li Yu-bang from Taiwan established the Taiwan volunteer corps in Jinhua, Zhejiang province. It became the largest, longest-lasting and most influential one composed of Taiwan compatriots during the war.
